We've installed wireless broadband (selfishly, because we like being connected when on holiday). The well-equipped kitchen has a microwave, double oven, dishwasher, and washing machine. The bathroom has a power shower. The living room has a 32-inch TV with built-in DVD player and speakers to which you can also plug an MP3 player. You are welcome to put a dinghy or windsurfer in the front garden ... there's a slipway to the water at the bottom of our road. The back garden is huge, and the old walnut tree has a swing and a monkey swing seat. There is a healthy stock of toys, books and DVDs.

LIVING

​Tide Cottage with its sunny kitchen and large garden is great base for a family to enjoy beach life at the Witterings and Hayling Island, walks on the South Downs, historic Chichester, our naval heritage in Portsmouth (as well as the best restaurants and outlet shopping at the oceanside Gunwarf Quays shopping centre). The cottage is just one house away from the shore, and within minutes you can be strolling along the coastal path, on a shoreline rich with birdlife, watching sailors and windsurfers on the water.

SLEEPING

There are two bedrooms: the master bedroom has a super king bed with a deep mattress; the second bedroom has twin beds and a bunk.
